K-pop dance workshops
We had the most brilliant time at Horsley Primary School in Stroud, delivering two days of K-pop dance workshops. Two days of dance for the whole school, finishing with an epic performance to parents!

Horsley Primary School is a small school in a tiny village near Stroud. So our Zest teacher coming from London was going to stay overnight to make this booking work. We love a roadtrip!
It’s a high achieving school who do a lot of dance, so our brief from their teacher was to make it challenging for the students. It makes our creativity ramp up a notch, knowing we can push the students harder knowing they will rise to the challenge.
Dances
We had mixed classes and they wanted three different dances created, so that the final performance was varied.
Year 1/2
Year 3/4
Year 5/6
1.5hrs for each workshop on both days.
We choreographed some catchy, energetic K-pop style dances for everyone, with popular music that the children knew.
The first day was about getting most of the dances taught. Then the workshops on the second day we focused on finishing the dances, performance quality and giving confidence. It’s not easy to perform a dance you have only just learnt, but they were all amazing and it was such a lovely outcome for us to see! Their performances were so full of life and energy, and loads of character.
Performance time
We had loads of parents come to watch the end performance, which shows what a supportive, loved school it is. We got a standing ovation and the children had a blast.
5 Star Review!
Don’t just take our word for it – here’s a wonderful review from the teacher who had booked us to come in:
We recently booked Olivia from Zest Dance Workshops for a two-day K-pop inspired dance project, and the experience exceeded all expectations.
From the very beginning, Olivia created an inclusive, supportive environment where every child felt valued and involved. She had a wonderful ability to engage all pupils, regardless of their confidence or prior dance experience, ensuring that everyone gained something meaningful from the workshop.
The choreography was of an exceptionally high quality—creative, energetic, and perfectly pitched to challenge the children while remaining achievable and enjoyable. Pupils were motivated to push themselves, and it was fantastic to see their confidence and skills develop so noticeably over just two days.
The final performance was outstanding. Olivia helped the children put together a polished, professional-looking routine that they were incredibly proud of. The excitement and enthusiasm from the audience were clear to see, and parents absolutely loved the performance. We received so many positive comments about the quality of the dance and the confidence the children displayed on stage.
Olivia was a pleasure to work with throughout—professional, enthusiastic, and inspiring. We would not hesitate to book Zest Dance Workshops again and would highly recommend them to any school looking for a memorable, engaging, and high-quality dance experience.

We have already been booked to go back to Horsley school next year! The theme is Bollywood, so we just know we are going to have so much fun doing that 🙂
