Art themed dance workshops really get our creative minds buzzing, with inspiration from so many artists.
We had a really fantastic day at Krishna Avanti School in Leicester who were studying Vincent Van Vogh and his works.

If you want to learn a dance in a day we can certainly help with that. We love the challenge of teaching a finished dance which is ready to perform at the end of the day.
We were asked to come into Catshill Middle school in Worcester to teach a group of year 7 and 8 students for the day.
Creative week dance workshops are a fun addition to any arts week. The dance workshops can be based on any theme, and in any style of dance that you are thinking of, to give the students a lasting fun memory.
We went back to one of our regular schools recently – Widcome Infants School in Bath, who Zest has been visiting every year for around nine years now. It’s so lovely to have a good connection to a school and the teachers. We feel right at home there, and have also got to know all the children and watch them grow up through the years.
World Book day is one of our favourite days of the school year! It’s a day that a lot of schools take part in, inviting all their students to dress up as their favourite character from a book.
Maths and dance can be closely linked in many ways. Often when you look at a subject a completely different way, a whole new level of learning is achieved.
You can link our dance workshops to Maths from the curriculum which is great for KS1 children especially. We show using our bodies clear representations of simple maths equations. We also get them used to the terminology used in maths classes, so this gets them feeling confident.
Zest teaches a lot of students per week in schools, so we thought it’d be interesting to break it down and look at the figures for a typical day of dance with Zest.
A transport themed arts week was a fun challenge that we were set by Glebe School. It’s our 3rd year running delivering dance workshops for their arts week, and we love going back there.
