From simple plies to intricate travelling sequences and graceful routines, we can give you an introduction to Ballet in our dance workshops
We will tailor our ballet dance workshops for beginners, intermediates or the more advanced. We can also make it appealing to both boys and girls.
Or let us know if you have a Ballet in mind that you’d like to base your workshops around. We have done many Nutcracker inspired workshops, focusing on all the different characters. This workshop is very popular around Christmas time, as that is when this famous ballet is based.
The music we use for ballet can be classical and traditional, or for the more unconventional classes we use chart music. We love this as it gives the class a funky feel and appeals to younger pupils. Especially boys who might be trying ballet for the first time, as we have found that using familiar music works really well for children.
We focus on teaching ballet technique so that everyone knows the basic steps. Introducing students to ballet terminology is also important, so we focus on this.
If you don’t have a barre in your studio or hall, that’s fine. We can just improvise and use chairs or the wall!
We always put together a ballet routine at the end of the workshop. Incorporating moves we have learnt in the class. This give it a nice ending to our ballet dance workshops.
These workshops are great for KS1 and KS2 or older classes.
Why not treat your pupils to a dance workshop? We are based in London but have teachers across the UK to bring our workshops to you.
