Showbiz!

So it’s Olivia here (director of Zest), and I have been told by my lovely friends and colleagues that I have been shamelessly name dropping recently – whoops, it’s just that I have had an exciting showbiz time recently!

So besides running Zest – booking, organising and teaching the dance workshops, I also perform regularly and do other exciting things….

Madonna

I recently went to see Madonna perform at the O2 for her Rebel Heart tour.  I have seen her many times before, but this time was different… We were 2 rows from the front of the stage, and she was literally meters from me! It was beyond exciting and she was so amazing, as well as all her incredible, inspirational dancers (faint).

You Me Bum Bum Train

I have also been performing in the top secret show You Me Bum Bum Train which is in the West End. I can’t tell too much as it’s all kept a big secret so we don’t want to spoil it for the audience.

Every audience member is taken around a huge set one by one, and they become the star of each scene, with hundreds of actors creating each scene in the most realistic sets you can imagine. My scene is VERY physical is all I am saying, and a full on dance workout, as we have to perform the scene 70 times during the night!

It has attracted lots of big names as it’s such a ground-breaking and exciting show, so everyone wants to get a ticket. But unfortunately the tickets totally sold out in 10 seconds!!. But let’s just say I have now met Kate Winslet, Sir Ian McKellan, Lily Allen, Steve Coogan, Jonathan Ross, Noel Galagher, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ruby Wax and James McAvoy!

Bollywood Vibes

Lastly, my Bollywood performance company, (Bollywood Vibes) got to perform at the X Factor live final as backing dancers with Reggie and Bollie. We performed to the nation as well as being meters away from all the judges. It was REALLY good fun and a great end to my year! Let’s see what showbiz antics I get up to next year 🙂
